MSHYB needs umpires for the Spring 2026 Youth League!

To all returning and interested youth league umpires, umpire training will be provided for those who qualify. Please sign up by clicking the link below:

Eligibility

All students interested in umpiring must be at least 14 years old. If you are turning 14 during the season, which is expected to start in late March, you can come to one of the below sessions but cannot umpire until your birthday.

Working Papers

If you completed a working paper in the past, then you DO NOT have to complete one again. For all others, a copy of the working paper will be sent to you directly after you sign up.

Payment

Umpire payments will now be made using ArbiterPay, so students must create an account. Similar to Venmo or PayPal, students will be able to transfer money from their ArbiterPay account to their bank account (or have a check mailed to them).

If you are new to umpiring, or haven't attended our training before, you must attend and stay for the session. Seasoned umpires (at least 2 consecutive years of experience) are encouraged, but not required, to attend.
